Day 9 | Jesus' High Priestly Prayer
ALL MINE ARE YOURS, AND YOURS ARE MINE, AND I AM GLORIFIED IN THEM. 11 AND I AM NO LONGER IN THE WORLD, BUT THEY ARE IN THE WORLD, AND I AM COMING TO YOU. HOLY FATHER, KEEP THEM IN YOUR NAME, WHICH YOU HAVE GIVEN ME, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, EVEN AS WE ARE ONE. JOHN 17:10-11
Lord Jesus Christ, my high priest, who now sits on the right hand of the Father interceding on my behalf. You are the only mediator between me and the Almighty God. The one who was touched with all the infirmities of the world yet was without sin. You are the bridge that has reconciled my life back into right standing before a Holy God.
My beloved Savior, as you prayed for your disciples that they might glorify your name, purify me to be your righteous vessel fit for the Master’s use. I am at your service as part of a royal priesthood. I am sanctified and set apart for a divine purpose. You are the bishop of my soul. You are my shepherd who found me when I was a lost sheep and rescued me from the attack of the wolves. You are the perfect Lamb who came to take away the sin of the world.
Loving Heavenly Father, you have adopted me as your child. In Christ I live together with my other brothers and sisters unified as co-heirs with Christ; we are blessed with a heavenly inheritance. Before you ascended back into heaven, you left your instructions for us to live as representatives of your kingdom. Amen.
