Day 10 | Moses' Victory Prayer
THEN MOSES AND THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL SANG THIS SONG TO THE LORD, SAYING,
“I WILL SING TO THE LORD, FOR HE HAS TRIUMPHED GLORIOUSLY; THE HORSE AND HIS RIDER HE HAS THROWN INTO THE SEA. THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG, AND HE HAS BECOME MY SALVATION; THIS IS MY GOD, AND I WILL PRAISE HIM, MY FATHER’S GOD, AND I WILL EXALT HIM.
EXODUS 15:1-2
Today I sing my prayer to You oh Lord. For you are the one who has given me a triumphant victory! I want to shout from the mountain tops how you have delivered from my enemies. No weapon formed against me has ever prospered. My shield of faith in You has extinguished every fiery dart that was sent by the evil one. By the truth of your Word, I have been set free.
Just as the Pharaoh was thrown into the sea along with his army, you have led me through deep waters and destroyed those who chased after me. When I was weary and wanted to quit, I remembered that you Lord are my strength.
Only You are my mighty warrior who deserves all the praise for every battle that has been won. I declare to those who are captive how you became my way maker, and my liberator from bondage. Through The Cross, Jesus defeated death, hell, and the grave. He is my Champion. I will sing to the world my song of my salvation. I will shout before the battle is over: the victory that is mine right now in Christ Jesus. Amen.
