Embassy City, good morning. Good morning, good morning. Can we make some noise for our God? Give praise for our God, the risen King. Hallelujah. I just want to thank Pastor Sarah. Who was that beyond this past Friday? Oh, my Lord. We had a time, God's presence filled the room, and I believe that that was not just a one-time occasion. I believe this is going to be the culture of this house. The Holy Spirit dwells here. He doesn't just pass by, he dwells here. So, so excited to be here with you this morning. Excuse me. My name is Phil Hall, like Pastor Sarah said, and I'm the Elementary Coordinator of this house, and that looks like me overseeing first through fifth graders, okay? And they're a hoot. They're a lot of fun. They challenge you, but most of all, I'm just blessed to see their spiritual development. We had, I got to shout this out, on Easter Sunday, we had 67 kids give their lives to Christ, in elementary, it's wild. So, while I'm shouting out elementary, can I just shout out my team in the room? Embassy Elementary, make some noise. Let's go, let's go.
I want to publicly acknowledge you all from this platform because we know how much you pour into the lives of these kids day in, day out, week in, week out, to make sure the gospel is preached and received in their hearts. So, we thank God for it. While we're on that note, hey, Embassy Young Adults, ages 18 and 35 in the room, make some noise. Y'all, we have a pickleball event this Friday, be there. I'll be honest, I'm planning on being there. I'm not really a pickleball guy, but I'm praying that the power of the Holy Ghost will fill me, and I'll get to, payah, payah, payah. I'm praying I have it. While we're shouting that out, can we give some praise, some due congratulations, and great job to our pastor of Family Ministries, Krystal Walker. She kicked us off in this series, The Home Team, with a wonderful message encouraging us to stand on the gospel. Didn't that bless anybody else in this room? We thank God for it. And so now my job is to follow that up. We have Pastor Krystal, we have Pastor Sarah, we have Pastor DeSonte.
And now I'm next up. I want to also shout out, our lead pastor, Pastor Tim Rivers. Come on, we can do better than that. As he's recharging and resting and getting ready for what God's getting ready to do for the next part of this year, we're just praying for you, PT. We're praying for you, Zara, Zion, Zane, and Janice. We love you all, so thank you. PT, thank you for trusting me with this opportunity. I got you. I want to shout out my dad, Pastor Willie Michael Hall of Danville, Illinois. He's the OG. I got to shout him out. He's probably watching right now, and I want to honor the memory of my late mother, the great, late Pastor Angela Sue Elliott Hall. Yeah, thank you. I'm from that lineage, so I got to shout it out. And I would be remiss if I didn't honor my wife. Can you stand, baby? Marissa Hall. Y'all, we made five years of marriage last month. Baby, I love you. Thank you for your sacrifice, your love, your support. It means everything to me. There's no me without her. Love you, sweetie. We have an almost two-year-old.
His name is Israel Michael. He's over in kids hanging out. We thank God for him. We call him Bubby. And big news for Bubby. He has a sibling on the way. September of this year, we have a baby girl coming. I'm going to be a girl dad. I can't believe it. Some of my friends were here at the gender reveal. Y'all were there. We're excited. Okay, we're going to get into God's word. Y'all ready? Can we stand as we honor God's word? Let's go, let's go. We're going to Colossians chapter two. If you have your paper Bibles, that's awesome. And if you have it and you still want to look at the screen, that's cool too. No judgment. We like you version, all the versions. Hallelujah. All right, Colossians 2, starting at the sixth verse. And it reads as this. It's Paul writing to the Saints in Colossae. Therefore, as you receive Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to the human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world and not according to Christ.
For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily. And you have been filled in him who is the head of all rule and authority. I want to take our title of this message from this verse, the eighth one. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world and not according to Christ. The title of my message this morning, repeat after me, say, it's on sight. It's on sight. We're going to pray and y'all can have a seat. God, we thank you for this morning. Be glorified today through our time. Would you breathe on this message? I pray that it pierces the hearts and minds of everybody in this room. Holy Spirit, have your way in this service. Speak to us today. Open our eyes to see you. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Amen, amen. So, our message today, the title is a bit of a double entendre, alright? So, let me break down the phrase, it's on sight for you if you're not familiar. It's a modern colloquialism. It's a modern phrase that basically means this.
When I see you, we throwing hands. Some of y'all are using the phrase to define the phrase. It's so ingrained in the culture. When I see you, we throwing hands. When I see you, we're fighting. There's no questions, there's no time for small talk. I'm not asking you why you did what you did. It's action. It's nothing but action. So, this is the title of our message today. And I want to share a story. Can I be honest with y'all today? This is an honest, open, transparent church, right? We hot, I can share my story. I'm free. Alright. I was a big anime fan growing up. Any anime fans in the house? I'm talking Bakugan. I'm talking about Pokemon, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh. Some of y'all are like, what is he talking about? One of my all-time favorites? Dragon Ball Z. We got some people in the house. Amen. See, Dragon Ball Z, you know, they look like humans, but they're not from this world. And something about them, they have super strength and super speed and super ability. And they'll get to fighting with their opponents. And they would do this thing when the battle would get to the next level.
And they need to do something extra to get some extra strength. They would do this thing called going Super Saiyan. Anybody familiar? I'm going to do my best demonstration, y'all ready? It looked like this. Hey, and before you knew it, they started handing out whoopings, boom, bam, boom. They're moving so quick. Man, before you know it, they're handing out whoopings like it's their day job. Frieza didn't stand a chance. Boo didn't stand a chance. Some of y'all who know, you know. Now, track with me now. I was one day, I was about seven years old. I'm playing at the basketball park with my brother. And some of y'all know, you know, you grow up playing ball. It's not just for fun. We're not playing pig. We're not playing horse. We're playing like our life depends on it. This is a grudge match. Because if I lose to you and I get whooped, when I come back to the court next day, I'm going to have no respect. None. So, I'm going to tell you right now, it starts heating up. The battles start getting tense. And it's me and my big brother versus another little brother, big brother duo.
And I don't know what happens. Y'all, you know how we get at the park. I don't know if they start fouling. I don't know if they start cheating. All I know is seven-year-old me was done. I was angry, I was mad, I was ready to fight. It was on sight. So, I did all I knew how to do. Some of y'all judging me, but I'm for real. In this moment, little me was like, he don't know what's about to hit him. I'm getting ready to hit him with the meanest kamehameha he's ever seen, I'll blast him to the next planet. Unbeknownst to me, the other little bro and big bro was getting ready to throw real hands. I'm over here powering up. Looking silly. So my big bro, he notices I don't know what I don't know. He's like, Phil, you about to get it, bro. And I'm not about to be getting it because you about to get it. He knew something that I didn't know. He knew that I was untrained, unprepared, unaware. Now, we thank God for big bro. I'm going to put a cap on this story. He ends up interrupting it.
He shuts it down. We walk away with our dignity. We walk away not getting to a fight. And I walked away all right, all right. Can we give it up for my big brother? He looked out. I share this story, though, because even though it's funny, I believe many of us, when it comes to fighting as believers, we're like seven-year-old me spiritually. We're untrained, we're unprepared, and we're unaware. Today we're talking about spiritual warfare. We're talking about spiritual warfare. And I believe that Holy Spirit, he wants to touch our eyesight today so we can know what it means to see Jesus rightly and therefore see the world around us rightly. Amen? So, touch your neighbor and say, it's on sight. It's on sight. Don't do it too aggressively now. You don't know what kind of response you're going to get. I've already warned you. To give you more context for our text today in Colossians, the Apostle Paul is writing to the church at Colossae. And we're going to zoom in on this eighth verse and we're going to unpack this some because it's pretty weighty, right? We're going to start with this first phrase of the verse.
It's see to it. Can y'all say see to it? This phrase in the Greek is blepo. Can y'all say blepo? Now you know Greek. It means this, it means to literally or figuratively look at, behold, beware, lie, look on, look to, perceive, regard, have sight, take heed, okay? And one of the main usages we see in Scripture is of the bodily eye. So, just like you're looking at me and I'm looking at you, y'all see me with the microphone, you see what I got on. Hopefully my outfit don't look too bad, right? You can see what's going on. Then there's a way as a metaphor, it's another usage. And it's to see with the mind's eye. If I told you right now to imagine you at the movie theaters and you're smelling that popcorn, that butter, you get to closing your eyes, you get a mental picture in your mind, right? So, it's seeing with the mind's eye. It can also mean to discern mentally, observe, perceive, discover, or understand. That's the first part. See to it. Next part is that no one takes you captive. Y'all say no one.
No one. This is an indefinite pronoun in the Greek that means this, a person or a thing. So, when Paul is talking about this, he's not just talking about Bob at your job. He ain't talking about that person that's just stirring up trouble. He's talking about even a way of thinking. I'm going somewhere. This could be at work, it could be the culture. I'm not trying to bother too much, but maybe they're getting into things that you know is not like God, but the more you're around it, you're feeling like, yeah, well, maybe a little bit don't hurt. It's drawing you away from the knowledge of Christ. Maybe it's a team you're a part of. Maybe it's the organization you have connections to or ties with, and it's not serving you anymore. It's dead to you because you've been alive in Christ, right? So, these systems, these places, these people are influencing you. And how? Paul tells us, by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition. Here are some of the philosophies and traditions we see the Colossians fighting against, struggling against in their time and their culture. One of them is Gnosticism.
So, as we're listening, I want you to listen. I want you to hear how this connects to our context today. They believe that salvation for humanity came through direct, secret revelation or knowledge of the divine. In other words, the more they knew, the more holy they felt, the more righteous they felt. It was all about knowledge. I just have to know. I just have to know. That's none of us in this room, right? The next ones are the Stoics. The Stoics, they believed, they were into logic real deeply, right? Their philosophy was built on achieving ultimate moralism through human reason. I'm gonna slow this down. If they could think that they were right, then they were right. And they were really into that. So, they almost made themselves gods in this way. They loved nature. They loved the environment. They also held God to be synonymous with creation. Then there's Plato's influence, and we have a theory now that we call dualism from him, and it's wrong, but you got to listen. He believed that the physical and the spirit realm were separate and distinct. Now, this is a problem because the way the Jews would have seen the spiritual world is that the spirit and the natural are one and the same.
If you're not careful, this is why you could be doing, you can live in any kind of way and still think that you're right with God. I don't want to get too ahead of my message, because if the spirit and the natural are distinct, then my other self don't know what the other self is doing. It's confusion. Next part of the verse is according to the elemental spirits of the world. One way this phrase can be translated is elementary principles. Now, I'm teaching y'all, but I want y'all to listen. I want y'all to hear this in your heart. This is speaking of belief that's deep in the world and or the basic workings of the universe. Now, all my science people, I'm not coming for you. I promise. I'm not coming for you. But here's the issue with giving too much into science is if you're not careful, you can make an idol out of it, just like anything else, and it can lead you away from the knowledge of Christ. You ever wonder why people, they speak about God and the universe like they're one and the same? Like, oh, universe, just send me something.
You might want to be careful. You might want to be careful. They're not the same. How can the God of the universe be the same universe? That makes no sense. But don't we understand? Aren't we grateful that we have a God who understands us, but he's greater than us? It's the reason why we can pray. If we had a God that was equal to us, we wouldn't have nobody to pray to. Amen? So, we thank God for his sovereignty. We thank God for him being bigger than us. Last part of this verse is in not according to Christ. It's like a cap on this verse, and it basically says this. All these things, all these philosophies, these traditions, these ways of thinking are seeking to pull us away from the knowledge of Christ, and here's the issue. The way we see Jesus affects the way we see everything. I'll say it again. The way we see Jesus affects the way we see everything. So, what we're talking about today is how do we see Christ in spiritual warfare? I'll give you a definition. Spiritual warfare is the ongoing conflict or battle that humanity faces with the spiritual forces of evil.
Cool. So, where does this come from? Well, its origin is the spirit realm. We know the spirit realm has existed before natural realm, right? So, where does the fighting start? If you're like me, you're trying to figure out, okay, where are you going with this, Phil? Where does the fighting start? We understand the spirit realm exists, but how do we know there's spiritual warfare? I walked in today. I thought everything was cool. I put my shoes on. I brushed my teeth. I brushed my hair. I thought everything was cool. You tell me there's a war going on, bro? What are you talking about? Well, Lucifer got puffed up with pride in heaven, and he said, "I'm going to exalt my throne above the heaven. I'm going to be like God." And so this is our first example of what some scholars call cosmic conflict. All of a sudden is beef in the spirit realm. Boom. But it's kind of funny because God just kicked him out of heaven like, bam, you ain't nobody. Takes a third of the angels with him. And y'all know the phrase, misery loves company. So, we don't know exactly the timeline between when, but then we see how this cosmic conflict impacts humanity.
Adam and Eve sin in the garden, eating of the fruit, and it's the sin that separates them from God. As a result of a now fallen world, mankind goes from being covered by God into being in conflict with the spiritual forces of evil all around us. So Phil, I'm getting the picture, but where is this battle? I'm trying to see it. Where's the battle? Ephesians 6 will help us out. Paul says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might, put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be, somebody getting happy right now, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand firm, stand therefore having fastened on the belt of truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness and as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace."
I'm not done, I'm gonna keep reading. In all circumstances, take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. Paul's, he's laying down this road map for us and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Praying at all times in the spirit. How many times? Praying at all times in the spirit with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep what? Keep what? It's on sight. Keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. Okay, thanks Phil. I think I understand where the battle's at now, but what do you mean we need to see Jesus rightly? How is this connected? What do you mean I need to see Jesus rightly and then see the fight? I don't understand. Well, we can ask the rich young man in Mark chapter 10. And it reads as this, and as he was setting out on his journey, this is Jesus, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good?"
Notice what he called him, y'all, teacher. No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments, do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, honor your father and mother. And he said to him, "Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth." And Jesus looking at him loved him and said to him, "You lack one thing, go, sell all that you have and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven and come follow me." Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful for he had great possessions. I believe this is what this test can show us. What hinders our sight may be an issue of what's inside of our hearts. What hinders our sight may be an issue of what's inside of our hearts. Notice the rich young man calls Jesus teacher, teacher, teacher. I mean, some of y'all are probably wondering, what's the issue with that? Well, seeing Jesus as merely a teacher means that it leads us to be like the rich young man. You can follow all the rules of Christianity and think you're morally good, but you have no salvation and no power.
Help us, Lord. Paul says these kinds of people, they have a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. This is why Paul is writing to the Ephesians, writing to the Colossians, urging them to get their vision back on track. So church, what do we do about this? How do we respond? Say it's on sight. It's on sight. We have to see Jesus rightly. Knowing who Jesus is and seeing him rightly sharpens us to discern anything that competes with, conflicts with, or counterfeits as Jesus. I'll say it again, knowing who Jesus is and seeing him rightly sharpens us to discern anything that competes with, conflicts with, or counterfeits as Jesus. I'm getting ready to read some descriptions of our Lord, and I want you to get this image in your heart, get it in your mind, because this is how we see him. I'll go right now. Jesus is the Lion of Judah, and he's the Lamb that was slain. He turned the other cheek while he was being crucified on the cross, and he turned them tables in the temple when people got to acting up, dishonoring God's house. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and in Revelation, he has his robe dipped in blood from trampling over his enemies.
We got to see him rightly, church. We got to see him rightly. Jesus wants us to see him rightly. Here's why, our view of Jesus determines the way we engage with the Christian faith. If we relegate Jesus to just being a good teacher, we'll do enough to not rock the boat and ]ust live a good Christian life. And this is, my God, this is a put-in your pocket Jesus. This is a just only way around your cross Jesus. This is the Jesus that you don't, this is commercial Jesus. You don't know how much you can really talk about how saved you are. You don't know how much you can really talk about how much you love him, how much he saved you. Here's the issue with this Jesus. When we try to control who God is, who Jesus is, this Jesus is false. He has no power to convict, no power to heal, no power to save, no power to save, no power to transform, because this Jesus does not exist. But look how Paul describes the true Jesus that we serve. He prays this in Ephesians 1:17-23, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
Watch this, y'all. Having the eyes of your hearts, what? Open our eyes, Lord. Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might, that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places. Catch this, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion. Y'all ought to get excited about the scripture. It's not just a history book, it's the living word of God. And above every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. So, how do we start seeing Jesus rightly? You don't just go off what people say, you have to start with the scriptures.
Then you have to see the war. You have to see the war. May I submit to you that spiritual warfare, it comes in many forms. This is \why we need discernment. Many think that spiritual warfare is something that's always overtly demonic. There's got to be somebody rolling on the floor. Got to be somebody throwing up. It's got to be a crazy catastrophic plane crash. And you know what? The enemy does do that stuff. But may I submit to you that the bulk of his work is work that's undetectable. Because the more you don't notice him, the more he can continue chaos in your life. It behooves him to fly under the radar. Which is why we as believers, we need sight to see. Come on, say it's on sight. It's on sight. There's a school of thought within Christianity that says that this kind of messaging, this kind of talk overemphasizes demons, it's too much. Don't worry about that. But here's why I disagree. Because Paul is writing to the believers in 2 Corinthians about forgiveness and he's saying that it was all for this so that we would not be outwitted by Satan, for we were not ignorant of his designs.
1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober-minded, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. The enemy comes to steal, kill." So y'all know this. So we know now though that he don't want to be obvious. So, here's some methods I believe we see the enemy, some tactics we see him using in our lives. I think he likes to use distraction. Social media, scrolling, y'all ever scroll without your phone? Like literally, there's not a phone in your hand, you're just doing this. We're being conditioned. Scrolling, watching news, scrolling through people's stories of their lives instead of worrying about what you got going on. I'm preaching to you because I done lived it. Be convicted, like I just watched an hour of somebody else's stories. What do I have going on? Don't I have chores to do? Don't I got food to make? Not only that, don't I have prayers to pray? But if the enemy can keep you distracted, you're not doing what you got to be doing and that's fighting this spiritual war. He likes to also deceive, so he used deception. Now, I'm getting ready to bother something.
Don't y'all cancel me, okay? I think we need to be wary of all these new podcasts, these new books, these new voices, these new prophets. Even me, you should be listening to what I'm saying. If anybody is drawing you away from the knowledge of Christ, it's not sent from God. If it's not lining up with the scriptures, it's not sent from God and it's used to deceive you. But many of us love being told how to live our spiritual life. Instead of getting on our knees in our prayer closet and praying to God ourselves, hearing from God ourselves, we want to be told what to do. We're living vicariously through other people, but God is saying, this is our burden to bear. He's going to help us with it. So, deception. What else is going on in this deception? We got new thought, new age. How about this? Simply bad doctrine. I wrote this down so I couldn't forget it. No, you cannot have Jesus in crystals. No, you cannot. Keep going. No, you cannot have Jesus and pray to your ancestors. No, you cannot receive Jesus as merely one of the ways of truth.
He is the way, the truth. No, Jesus was not created. He's eternal. No, Jesus is not lesser than the Father. No, you cannot receive Jesus as your Lord and stay the same as you were when you met him. It's deception. But he wants us ignorant. He wants us ignorant. You want to know why? You know the phrase, ignorance is bliss? It's a lie. Y'all know me? Little me? I thought I was powering up getting ready to... I was getting ready to get my butt handed to me because me being ignorant didn't change the reality. So, it behooves us to become aware. There's another tactic the enemy likes to deploy and it's discouragement. I was talking to a friend the other day, and she told me that she's been discouraged at times in her walk with the Lord that has kept her from praying certain prayers. Sometimes altogether not praying in general. Y'all know what this is like? Here's what discouragement can look like. I feel this very strongly. Some of y'all are going through this delay. Delay, just feels like everything is held up. The job is held up.
Why are they taking me through 18 interviews? What is going on? Money's held up. Feeling like things are just stuck. Delay. How else does he like to discourage unanswered prayers? Maybe you prayed for somebody to receive healing and it didn't happen the way you wanted it to happen. Maybe you're praying for a breakthrough for yourself and it didn't happen the way it happened, the way you wanted it to happen. Discouragement. And these things, they lead to hopelessness, despair, disappointment. And you know what the overall end goal is? The enemy wants to keep you so caught up in your issues, caught up in this conflict, caught up in this warfare, that he keeps you prayerless. Because he knows that if he can keep you prayerless, then you have no power, no strength to draw from. So, what do we do about this? Church, we gotta fight back. It's on sight. Come on, let me hear you. It's what? It's what? There has to be a holy, righteous indignation that comes up on the inside of you, that says, I'm not going to tolerate this. I'm not gonna let my family just get beat all up. I'm not just gonna let life just happen to me.
I'm going to war in the spirit. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says, for though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but have divine power to destroy strongholds. Catch this, we destroy arguments and every lofty opinion, podcasters, new teachers, new prophets. If it's not lined up with scripture, raised against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to obey Christ. Ephesians six lists the armor, but if we move too quick, we'll miss it. Here's the strategy. Prayer, this is the first part, prayer, and not just any kind of prayer. The Bible says to pray at all times in the, in the spirit. This could look like speaking in tongues. But Pastor Tim has talked about this. Praying in the spirit is a surrendering to the will of the spirit, the mind of the spirit. Meaning that when you pray, God is having complete control over your thoughts. You know the scripture, a lot of us like to quote, God will give me the desires in my heart. Let's rephrase that. What about God giving you the right things to want?
That's praying in the spirit. God give me what to want. Even your Bible reading should be soaked in prayer. Because if you read the scriptures without asking Holy Spirit to illuminate your eyes, you're reading just another textbook. It's not gonna connect for you. Some of y'all like, man, I done read through the whole Bible and I'm still not convinced, 'cause you're doing it without the Lord. Even your Bible reading should be soaked in prayer. And then supplication, this is seeking and asking of God. I feel this in the room, some of y'all are tired. You're tired. You're like, God, I knocked and I knocked and I didn't get an answer. And the enemy's left you there, feeling like you got left on read. I want to encourage you to continue praying, continue seeking, continue petitioning. Bible says that Elijah was a man with a nature just like ours. He prayed that it would not rain and it didn't. Not a drop fell until he said so. We have the power of prayer because we have the Lord Jesus Christ taking a personal residence on the inside of us.
Do we understand the authority that we're walking in? Do we understand it, church? And not just supplication for yourself, supplication for your loved ones. Supplication for your church. What does that look like? Intercession. Come on, church, say it. A lot of us like, man, them prayer meetings are early. How much do you have to pray about? How long we gotta be here? That's the trick of the enemy. He wants you to have no stamina for prayer. Some of y'all struggling to get up to pray. I've been there. You just feel like, man, the moment I decide to pray, I'm just sleepy, I'm tired. It's like, man, that alarm felt like it just, it kept ringing and it kept ringing. Enemy wants to render you prayerless so you can be powerless. Pray for your loved ones, pray for your family, cover your children, cover your parents, cover your coworkers. You got a boss that's not acting right, pray for him. You got siblings not acting right, pray for him. Your kid's not acting right, do what you gotta do as parents, but pray for him. Pray for him. Disconnecting with y'all.
Some of y'all are here. I believe the Lord is giving you language for things you've been going through. You're like, man, before I came here today, I thought I was crazy. I thought I was tripping. It felt like it's been a crazy month. The last six weeks been wild. This 2025 in general, it's been nuts. You're not crazy. It's not coincidence. There's been demonic activity at work against your life. But we tell the devil in hell and all his demons, it's on sight. Come on, church. Come on, it's on sight. It's on sight. We will not be weak because we're not created to be weak. We will not lay down as though we were helpless and defenseless. We have the power of God residing on the inside of us. He's here. And here's the good news. Y'all can't miss this. This is where our power, this is where our strength come from. Jesus has triumphed over it all. Colossians 2:13-15, and you who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses by canceling the record.
Y'all better get excited. I'm not trying to push you. It's exciting me. By canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands, this he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them in him. We have authority in Christ, because Jesus got up, we can get up. Because he has all power in his hands, we have all power because God has given it to us. He's our source. You don't have any strength by yourself. You don't have enough anointing by yourself. You don't have enough authority by yourself. It's in him. This is how we fight our battles. It's in him. It's in Jesus. Go ahead and stand if you need to. Go ahead and stand, church. We ought to have a war cry raising up on the inside of our hearts. We will not back down. We will not be silent. We will not let the enemy just beat us up. We're going to stand in authority. But, church, we have to want to see Jesus rightly. Oh. Yeah. Hey, it's on sight. It's on sight. What y'all know about this? Lace up your boots.
[Music]
It's on sight. We here to fight. It's on sight. It's on sight. Let me stop. Now you have that war anthem in your heart. Let it ring. But if we leave here with just hype, we'll walk away without something that sustains us through our week, something that sustains us through the rest of this year. So church, we have to want to see Jesus rightly. And we have to want to have the eyes to see the fight around us.
So, I want you to repeat after me. Say this prayer. Say, Holy Spirit, help me to see. Holy Spirit, help me to see. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Came in to encourage somebody today. You are a warrior in Christ. You are not an orphan. You are a child of the Most High God. You will not be stuck in depression all your life. You will not be bound by addiction all your life. We serve a God who came to set the captives free, who has anointing that destroys the yokes. Whatever was happening in your family, it's not going to continue with you. Because with Satan, we serve you. Notice it's on sight. We see your schemes. We see your plans. And we will not tolerate it. Thank you, Jesus. Some of you have been hindered in your prayer time. You should take it seriously. It's not a coincidence. You keep struggling to make that alarm. Take it seriously. War against it, don't back down. We will not be untrained, unprepared, unaware. So, I'm going to name some things. The altars are open, and I want you to begin coming up if these things are resonating in your heart. You hear this, okay?
If you're a believer and you've been struggling with seeing Christ rightly, you've been going through this spiritual warfare like we discussed today, and you need prayer, I want you to come to the altar. Prayer team, you can take your posts. If you are somebody who you would say, man, every time I pray, the Lord shows me so much, I don't even know if I can keep up. It's overwhelming. It's too much, and you just need clarity. You need God's peace to decipher what he's showing you. You're not depressed. You're not crazy. You might operate in the prophetic. Come to the front. Come for prayer. Maybe you're dealing with a lack of motivation, burnout, chaos in your life, and it's really affected your intimacy with God. Come up for prayer. Maybe you need healing in your life emotionally. Maybe it's physically. There's been a persistent pain or illness that's been bothering you, and it's been bizarre. Doctors can't figure it out. You don't know where it's coming from, and it's been hindering your walk with God. Come up for prayer. You have spiritual gifts lying dormant inside and have been anxious and unclear on how to walk in them.
We invite you to come up for prayer. How about this? You've come into agreement with something demonic, maybe witchcraft. Maybe it's just personal sin, and you want to let go of it. There's no judgment. We want to invite you to come up for prayer, because witchcraft has no hold on Jesus. We rebuke it right now in the name of Jesus. It can't even compete with. We cancel it. Come up for prayer. And lastly, if you don't know Jesus today, and you're like, I don't know what I walked in on, but I got to have some of this. I want to be saved. I want to be with the right team. We want to encourage you to come up for prayer. I'm going to pray just a simple prayer over us. I just want us all to get ready to be in a contemplative place, a posture. Oh, Father, we thank you for this time. Thank you that you know what you're doing. You know every need. I thank you that our eyes are being opened. Holy Spirit, we invite you. Touch our eyes to see. We will not be untrained. We will not be unprepared. We will not be unaware.
I pray that you would touch our eyes to see you rightly, Jesus, and to see what's going on. I pray we would war in the heavenlies. We would not just let the enemy attack our family, attack our loved ones, attack our lives, and just sit there and do nothing. We will be bold for you, Jesus. And we thank you that you've given us all the authority, all the power that we need, it lies in you. And so I pray this blessing over my brothers and sisters, authority and boldness in Jesus' name. That God, everywhere we go, we would exalt your name above everything that seeks to compete with you. We will put your name on it, God. And when we go into our workplaces, that we would put your name on it. We would lift you up. That you would have complete glory. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
